So I’m a little bit excited and a little bit in awe of the creative process…
I’m excited because, on Monday, the Kickstarter for my new YA contemporary romance, Never, Not Ever, begins.
A Kickstarter, if you’re not aware, is a way to a support a creative project. And also receive extra freebies and goodies. I hope you’ll check it out when it lands.
I’m also a little in awe of the creative process because I knew I would probably need to send you a few more emails during the Kickstarter phase so you knew it was happening and you checked it out if you’re interested.
But I didn’t want to send you 20 million sales emails. No, thank you.
So I sat in the creative silence awhile and an idea emerged. Maybe I could write you a short story in micro chapters that only take 20 seconds to read.
Then the story wrote itself. Along with a very interesting plot twist just for you!
Great! So that’s what we’re doing. Over 15 days (Monday-Friday Australia time), I’m going to be sending you a micro chapter. It will land in your inbox and it will also be published on my Substack.
If you’re not interested, please ignore and delete all emails. We’ll be back to usual programming soon enough.
But if you’re keen to receive a heart felt message from me to you, then check your inbox, read along, check out the Kickstarter and share, if you’d like, with anyone else who might be interested.
A sneaky peek…
The Kickstarter will launch my book, Never, Not Ever, a beautiful YA contemporary romance about dealing with family dramas, finding yourself and falling in love.
There will be 3 editions available - Paperback, Ebook and, excitedly, the Audio Book, which my daughter, an actor, is going to narrate.
There will also be some beautiful branded swag and individual sessions with me, which I haven’t offered in over two years.
The book is for teen readers who want to expand their hearts and minds, adult readers who want to reconnect with their inner teen, and anyone who loves a good story.
I’m doing a Kickstarter because I love supporting creative projects and because I LOVE this book. Not from an ego perspective. But from a ‘I have deep respect for this story’ perspective. And I really want to help this book to find its readers - that’s you, by the way!
So yeah, it begins next week. See you then!
With love to you and yours,
