Which reward would you choose?
This week…
Which reward would you choose?
Where my heart is at
And other feelings
Recommendations are welcome!
Yes, I’m in overwhelm - or a version of. And I’d really appreciate your help. I’ve got rewards and bonuses planned for the book launch and I’m having a hard time working out which ones are the most exciting, interesting, helpful, useful, desirable.
I’ve no longer got any perspective on this. But I’m sure you do! Would you like to help shape what goes into the campaign? Click through to this one-question survey and help me to see the forest for the trees - or the trees for the forest.
I’ll be externally grateful. Here are the options. Big thanks, in advance!
Okay, this is where my heart is at: I’m imagining a world where people find the book that’s meant for them. Where stories get to the heart of life’s deepest truths and they take root within us, changing us forever.
Where you and I can read the same book and get exactly what we need from it - even if that something is completely different. Where stories provide a through line to our similarities - and our differences. Where story is healing and grounding and settling and expanding.
I’m hoping this isn’t a lofty dream. That this can actually be business as usual. Mundane even. Of course, books find us! Of course, they speak to us! Of course, they change us! And of course, we can reach into deeper parts of ourselves and connect more deeply with each other through story.
Fact. Not fiction. So, yeah, I’m launching my new book. It’s a beauty. I’d love the right people to find it. That’s where my heart is at.
I’m also kinda feeling this: I’m wondering why the hell I work on creative projects.
That require so much vulnerable showing up. That can fail when you really want them to succeed. That are more than a product - so much more. That aren’t for everyone but you want the ones to find it.
That feel emotionally weighty and significant but that need to be held lightly and gently. That you want to shout about from the rooftops - but also have quiet, whispered conversations about. That shape you and challenge you and grow you - and in fact, that’s the whole point.
So yes, during book launch time, there are many feelings.
The Kickstarter campaign for my new book, Everything’s Absolutely Fine, begins very soon! If you sign up to follow the campaign here, you’ll be the first to know and you’ll help others discover it too. Thank you!
Here’s another Kickstarter that’s in prelaunch too - Once Upon a Craft Shop: Cozy Fantasy Fairytale Mysteries. For those who love cozy mysteries and crafts like knitting! Check it out here.
I’ve been head down, bum up, immersed in launch creation. And I haven’t had a lot of - watch this or read that - time. But I’m happy to take suggestions. Seen or read anything great lately? Let me know in the comments. Good distractions are good!
Until next time, love to you and yours,
