I do love a bit of a sticky-beak into other people’s lives. Not the I-need-to-share-every-event-and-emotion-online kind of info. Or even the overly-glossed-up-version-of-me-and-my life-online either. I just love seeing a few pics of where people live and what punctuates their day.
So I thought I’d share a few things from my life. Some of you have been receiving emails from me for what probably feels like centuries. For others, it’s a more recent phenomenon. To bring us all up to speed, because centuries ago when I began my business life was very different, here are a few pics of where things are at right now.
Plus please scroll down for an important question I have for you!
Okay so this is a photographer shot. But it is of me writing and I do write everyday. I don’t write my books everyday but I do journal. It’s how I start every work day and it feels essential.
This is my home office. My personal creative sanctuary that no one else in the family is allowed to use. Every so often my husband jokes that he’ll set himself up there on a work from home day. And my response is, no freaking way!
This is the view from my home office. Valley views out this way and city views on the other side. Super lucky to have such a picturesque outlook.
These are the bookshelves in my office. I like them tidy and organised and as visually appealing as possible. I love looking at people’s bookshelves! Maybe you do too?
This is the armchair in my office where I do my journalling and sometimes writing, when not at the computer. And tea drinking. Lots of tea drinking.
This is my notebook system. One for my journalling, first drafts of my novels, note taking and scribbles. All from Kikki-K.
These are three things that I consume almost everyday. My favourite tea, super dark chocolate and must-eat peanut butter. Ooh, now the deep dark secrets are out!
These are my cats, Max and Milo. Brothers from another mother. In this photo, they’re waiting to be fed and are not at all interested in posing for the camera.
This is the photo shrine in my office. Photos of me, my husband, my daughter and son when we were all little. And a beautiful owl illustration by the very talented Nicole Piar.
This is the fam! All grown up and at a special event at our State Library.
And this is my debut novel!!! I just received some more kind words about it today: “It was so good, so much more than just a young adult romance. I loved loved loved it and read it in one sitting.” More info here.
And here’s that question for you…
I’m developing a resource for you and everyone who subscribes to my list. Which would you prefer?
Thanks so much for being here! Until next time, love to you and yours.
P.S. I’d love to hear where you live or the favourite space in your home or what you consume everyday. Let me know in the comments!
